A Foreign Office banquet preceded the Stato ball. There were 2500 guests. M. Poincaire and M. Pichon (French Foreign Minister) had a long conference with Sir Edward Grey (Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and Sir Arthur Nicolson (Permanent Under-Secretary to tho Foreign Office). There was a discussion on the Balkans question and on practicully all ' matters of mutual interest to Franco and Britain. No document was ligned, but complete accord was revealed. The King and other Royal personages Ixide farewell to M. Poincaire and St. Pichon at Victoria Station.
