THE ANNUAL MEETING. (Sy Telegraph.—Speoial Correspondent.) Hastings, Juno 27. (The fiftieth annual general mating of the Hawte's Bay A. and P. Society was held at Napier this morning. In the abseneo of Mr. T. H. Lowry (president), who is ftt present orf a trip to tlio South 1 Sea Islands, Mr. F. W. Williams presided. , The* annual report stated, inter alia, that tho coriimittee were pleased again to record a substantial increaso in membership— 1185 as against 1142 last year. The year had been a prosperous ono. Tho gross profit shown in tho balance-sheet was £W3 2s. 6d. Officers for tho ensuing year weiro elect- : ed aa follow:—President, Mr. T. H.
