FIVE NEW MEMBERS. SWEARING-IN CEREMONY. / Five new membors of the Legislative Council were sworn in yesterday. When the Council met at 3 p.m. tho Hon. H. D. Bell (Leader) announced that ho had received a Message from his Excellency the Governor notifying' that the following new had. been appointed to the Legislative Council as from 'Juno 26:- . - Sir Wm. Russell. Mr. John Duthie. Mr. C. A. C. Hardy. Mr. W. Earnshaw. , Mr. W. §. Nicholls, Mr. Bell. intimated that all the now members, with the exception of Sir Wm. Eussell, were in. attendance, and could be sworn in at once. The swearing-in ceremony occupied only a few minutes, and the four new Councillors took their eeats with their brother members. ;
