THE "HUNGER-STRIKERS."
1) AND MR. JUSTICE PHILLIMORE. By Telegraph—Pre?e Association—Copyright London, June 26. Miss Harriet Kerr, tho last of tho Suffragotto conspirators, recently sentenced, has been released after a "hunger strike." In view of Mr. Justico Pliillimoro's recent remarks, tho police authorities are surprised at the early release of all tho prisoners. In his summing up at the trial of tho Suffragette leaders on conspiracy charges on June 18, Mr. Justico Pnillimoro said that one counsel had suggested the time for tho Executive's leniency had passed. Ho (bis Lordship) did not think defendants would meet with tho same leniency as others had, and if Mr. M'Kenna (the Homo Secretary) consulted him as often a 9 he had consulted other Judges, he would advise that the ringleaders, at any rate, ought not to be released on any consideration. FIVE YEARS' IMPRISONMENT FOR FIRE-RAISING. London, June 26. Sidney Vigers was sentenced to five years' penal servitude for setting fire, last month, to the premises of tho Westminster Wood Paving Company, at Fulhain.
