Mr. Montagu (Parliamentary UnderSecretary for India) to the allegation that three at Selapur had been acquitted on a charge of murder, rearrested five months later, and found guilty, and that the Lieutenant-Governor of Agra and Oudh (Sir William Hewett) had refused a respite for the' purpose of an appeal. Two of the men were executed, and the third sentenced to penal servitude for life. , Mr. Montagu has promised a full investigation.
