"IVTOTICE is hereby givon that it is the intention of tho Wellington City Council to introdnco in the present Session of Parliament the Wellington City Empowering and 'Amendment Bill. Tho objects that tho said Bill is intended -to affect are: To amend Section 7 of "The Wellington City Empowering Aot, 1897," by conferring on the Wellington City Corporation tho further powers as under:— _ , Section 7 of the Wellington City Empowering Act, 1897,-is hereby amended by adding to such Section the following now sub-section 2:— ' , (2) (a) Where the Corporation and any owner of any land subject to any or other limited estate or : interest _or of any leasehold estate, or of other limited estate or interest in land ihaVo under Section 27 of "Tho Public Works Act, 1908, 1 entered into a sufficient agreement for the taking of such owner's estate or interest pursuant to tho powers granted by subsection (l) hereof the Corporation shall be entitled to the issue of a proclamation vesting tho estate or interest of such owner in the Corporation. (b) The provisions of this sub-seotion shall apply to all. affTeements for taking such estate or interests in land whether executed before or after the passing of this Act, aild even if the Corporation and tho owner have entered into a valid agreement for the sale and -purchase of the owner's estate or interest. .
