Thousands of eocicty leaders and girls sold roses on bohalf of tho hospitals. Queen Mary, tho Dowager-Queen Alexandra, and Princess Mary drovo fourteen miles round Loudon thanking tho flower-sellers. OVER £18,000 REALISED. FANCY PRICES FOR SPRAYS. (Rec. June 2G, 11.20 p.m.) London, Juno 26. Twenty thousand flower sellers sold roses on Alexandra. Day, andl it is estimated that ovor .€IB,OOO was realised. Both Queen Mary and the Dowager Queen Alexandra were accorded a great reception in tho stroote, many buildings being decked with artificial roses. Ladies invaded the Stock Exchange and brokers auctioned flowers, refusing all bids under XI. Ono member of the Stock Exchange paid .£2O for a spray. Fifty New Zealand ladies achieved a great success at Whitehall. The Australian organisation fell through. Tho "Daily Mail," in a column article describes Australian Wattle Day as approaching in character to Alexandra Day in England.
