MR, MICHEL'S SUPPORTERS MEET. (By Tolejrapli.—Spcclal Correspondent.) Greymouth, June 24. A largo meeting of Mr. Michel's sup-liortr-rs was held at Greymouth this ovelimg for tho purpose of forming a general committee to further his candidature. Dr. W. M'Kay was appointed chairman. A number 'of speakers reported tnat solid support would bo given the Government candidate in all parts of the electorate at tho forthcoming contest. Tho meeting throughout was enthusiastic, and cventiv ally tho whole mooting was formed into a general committee, and suscqucntly a strong executive was formed. _ Feeling is running very strong in Mr. Michel's favour, and his supporters are optimistic as to tho result. Mr. Michel opens his campaign in tlio mining township of Blackball on Thursday evening.
