; C — SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications are for strong southeasterly winds, changing to easterly northward of Westport and Kaikoura, and increasing northeriies elsewhere shortly. The barometer is unsteady, with a falling tendency in the south. ' Fair to cloudy weather is probable generally. Cold and changeable weather has prevailed, with heavy showers on tho Fast Coa-st ot the North Island. Tho barometer has been very high in tho south and above normal everywhere.
