At the Magistrate's Court yesterday, Georgo'Hastings, whose record was "sev-enty-four previous convictions, was convicted nf the theft of a corner boiler. Chief-Detective Hroller- observed Hint nnstiugs had boon convicted of theft on iiftcen occasions, and that he seemed to have a particular Kleins for copper boiler'! The boiler concerned in this case was taken from tho brick-work in the wash-house at 120 Cuba Street. Jlw Worship: Yes, lie has a mama for copper boilers. Tie will be fined in default fourteen days imprisonment. KNIFE BRAWN. Evidence was give u to the effect Unit Mnvnc and Staplelon came out of a hotel together and put up their hands at one •mother ' While Stapleton was not looking Mavne drew a knife, and ru=hed ot him. | ordered to appear for sentence when called on. Thomas Keoves, a prohibited man, was fined «C 3 for having entered hotels on three occasions. For insobriety, Frances Gilbertson was fined as., and James Canning 10s. Rose I'raser wns fined .£2 for having used certain language. Alico Louisa M'Uinnity. who ' was deemed to be an idle and disorderly person, was convicted and ordered to appear for sentence when called on. A prohibition order was issued against her. CIVIL LIST. PLUMBER NONSUITED. . Richard Duffy, plumber, sued Isnac Clark, builder ami undertaker, for .£2 1(R as for plumbing work done. Mr. H. I'. Von Ilaast appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. 'J'. Neave l'or the defendant. After hearing evidence, his Worship non-suited the plaintiff.
