WELLINGTON SHARE MARKET. On Saturday Waihits were ©old locally at 365. 6d.. and yesterday they changed hands at 4Cs. and 40s. 3d., while it is apparent that large buying orders were cabled to London on Saturday from Auckland which forced up the London' quotation. It is obvious that there is some basis for tlio" rise, although locally nothing much is known. It is believed that values have been obtained in either the Empire or. Royal reofs, and the prospects mu3t bo very promising. There are many people who firmly believe that Waihis will have another run of luck, and, this being so, .it is not surprising that the sharc3 should rise rapidly whenever there ai'o favourablo indications. There were no • transactions at the afternoon call yesterday, but at the morning call tho following sales were recorded:—New Sylvia, Is. 3d.; .Talisman, 6d.; Waihi., 40s. 3d., 406., <os.
