Tho scheme includes the building of a fleot of .steamers suitable for trading through tho Panama Canal. Each vessel will bo 450 feet in length but with an unusually narrow beam. Ships will be utilised to collect carcasses at various centres and tho meat will bo shipped from Colon in a fleet extensive enough to givo daily sailing to Great Britain. Harlands, thp Royal Mail Company, tho Nelson line, and tho Pacific Steam Navigation Company are interested.
