annual meeting. (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.! Palmerston North, June 20. Tho annual meeting of tho New Zealand Jersey Cattle Breeders' Association was held to-day, Mr. G. M. Tripp presiding. ' The annual report stated that during th« yoar 53 new members had joined the association, and twelve names had been Tomoved from tho roll. During the past year, Volume IX of the Herd Book had been published. Pedigrees for -161 males and 481 females wero contained in it. Volumo X was about completed and ready for issue It contains tne pedigrees for 511 males and 542 females. Wanganui was adopted as the place of tho next annual meeting. The dato was fixed for the first week of July. breeders combine. (By T«lear«.ph.-Pres« Association.) Palmerston North, June 20. At the Jersey Breeders' smoke "social" to-night, a movomont was inaugurated, supported bv the Holstein and Ayrshire visitors, to hold a joint "social' of all dairy breeders' societies next year, and form a combined association for tho mutual good. _ • l Mr. Clifton, Director of the Experiment Farms, after speaking of tho Government's extension of its Holstein herds, promised similar attention shortly to Jerseys and Ayrshircs.
