i SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications are for fair to cloudy weather generally, misty at times on tho coasts, and unsettled in the far north and about Foveaux Strait. Variable winds probably generally, easterly breezes predominating in the north and moderate to strone westerly winds in arid southward of Cook Strait. Little movement of the barometer indicated at present. The storm experienced ye6terday in the northernmost parts passed during the night, and conditions have improved today. Stronir east to south-easterly winds have prevailed northward of East Ca-pe and Kawhia, and southerly winds have predominated elsewhere, with a rising barometer' D. 0. BATES.
