CONSPIRATORS ON TRIAL. MURDERS AND. OUTRAGES. i, ByT«lcrrwhf-Preiß Asaoolatlon—Copyright Delhi, June 19. The trial of the recently-arrested! conspirators has opened at Calcutta. The prosecution asked for a Royal pardon for two approvers, who are to give evidence aa to tho working of the Barisal and Dacca sections of tho conspiracy. The prosecution detailed a lengthy list of murders and outrages, which tho police ■had oonnected with tho society. Sedition lad been preached chiefly through religious services. As the result of revelations originating on the information of the Deputy-Magis-trate at Midnapaur, 44 persons were recently accused of conspiracy in Bengal. The Deputy-Magistrate caused a search of his eon 3 house at Dacca,' in which were found ammunition, a quantity of valuable jewels, and cipher documents. The jewels were proved to have been obtained by dacoitv, while the documents contained proposals to seduce Gurkha, Punjabi, and Mahratta sepoys to establish military centres, and to organise wholesale massacres instead of isolated murders. Examination of other houses proved the existence of an extensive organisation.
