During tho season eleven now members were elected, four wcro transtc red to tho supernumerary list, and tea resigned. The membership now stanus at 93. Tho thanks of tho club aro duo to tho president, Mr. Norwood, for ins gift of tho gas lire, which has added greatly to tho comfort of members using tho club room during tho winter; to Mr. Townsend for top-dressing soil; ami to Messrs. Townsend, Hemingway, Martin, Madcley, and Youmans, who, during last winter, gave their services improvement of tlio property in several directions. . . ~ , . t Tho directors aro of opinion that bet tor accommodation is necessary for tno club's property. KHANDALLAH CLUB. Tho annual report of tie Khandallah Bowling Club states that during tlie year nine new mombers were elected. and nn equal number resigned! since then two resignations have been received, and two new proposals accepted. In put tho club in a sound position a larger membership is essential. The opening oi the club took place on November !, WU when a largo number of visitors trom other clubs were present, from Otaki and Levin, and the function proved a great success. Members _and visitors were the guestsi of and Mrs. James, who had withthem 2 band of willing Tc.
