New: Sylvias continue to improve, and soma of tho Thames stoeko, notably May Queens and Saxons. are receiving attention. TJio sales yesterday wero: Now Sylvias at Is. 3Jd., Is. 4d„ Is.. 4d. (first call), and Waihi Grand Junctions at 17s. 9d. There were no trans* actions recorded at tile afternoon call. Tho quotations were as under:—

Tho secretary for Ross Goldflelds Reconstructed, Ltd., received tho following telegram from the mine superintendent:—"Tho Water pressure in tho Cassius workings has been reduced to 51ft. The continuous running test of tho Diesel engine and. generator set is now proceeding."
