It is provided that short press messages or ordinary messages may 1)0 transmitted to the nearest telegraph office by telephone, and provision is also made for the transmission of telegrams from the destination office l>y telephone, provided tho addressee is a subscriber. 'Press mesages transmitted by telephone will be afterwards delivered in writing, and ordinary messages will bo written and posted. Messages telephoned to a telegraph offico are to bo afterwards delivered there in writing. The fees prescribed for this Auxiliary telephone service, where conversations do not exceed threo minutes in duration, are:—For ono year, .CI; six months, 10s.; threo Months, 55.; singlo message, 3d. At ofliccs where tho delivery of telegrnhis is not provided for, and over privato lines connected witli a bureau, telegrams will bo transmitted free (eo far as the telephoning is concerned), but; the freo service is not extend beyond fifty words at a timo if tho telephone is required for ony other purposo.
