$ THE BABE MAJORITY.. (Br TelflaraDh—Proas Association.) Chrlstchurch, June 18. Tho New Zealand Alliance Convention this morning was addressed by the Rev. A. Doull on legislative dangers. .A resolution was carried affirming the demand of the party for tho simple majority as the only just basis for settlement of tho liquor question. The afternoon session was devoted to a discussion oil legislative dangers to the party. During the discussion the democratic vote campaign was extensively referred to, and reports of delegates stated that many thousands of electors :hnd already pledged themselves not to vote for any candidate who would not pledge himself to support the simple majority in substantially reducing tho present three-fifths majority.
