DESTRUCTIVE FIRE.

FOUR PREMISES BURNED. (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Wanganui, .Tune 17. A destructive fire occurred at Ohingaiti yesterday morning, as a result of which several business places were totally destroyed. The buildings involved aro a general store and dwelling occupied by Mrs. Holle.v Mr. Colo's saddlery promises; and a billiard saloon, occupied by Mr. Martin. The fire, which is supposed to have been ceiled bv rats, had a firm hold when discovered, ' and in the absence of a water supply a band of helpers confined their attention to preventing the fire spreading anv further. The insurances are not available so far. The twentieth annual dinner of the Wellin"ton College Old Boys' Association will bo°held in Godber's Rooms, Lambton Quay, at 8.15 this evening. Mr. J. T.
