HEAT WAVE IN AMERICA.
SEVERAL DEATHS REPORTED. By Telegraph—Preßs Association—Copyright Chicago, June 17. A heat wave is being experienced, at Chicago. The shade temperature is 08, with great humidity. l'ivo deaths have been reported. It is proposed to issue free ice to the poor people. (Rec. June 18, 0.25 a.m.) New York, June 17. A heat wave is visiting Philadelphia. Six persons have died. The heat' temperature is 98 in Indiana, beating all previous records. There have boon several deaths. In Chicago the temperature is 99—a record. Many people have been prostrated.
