TRELOAR MILKER & RELEASER
(By Arrangement.) Foremost amongst tho mechanical contrivances that have been put forward in recent years to minimiso and simplify tho work ot dairymeu, is tho "Treloar" Milking Machine and Milk-Keleaser. Tho inventors and all who aro connected with tho manufacture and sale of tho Treloar aro men who have a wide experience in actual dairying, both with hand-milking and with machines. As a result of this experience, they claim to have scientifically solved the problem of producing a machine and parts that approximate as nearly as possible to the natural action of extracting tho milk from tho cow's udder. By tho great demand that has already been created for oomplete _ outfits, together with the extraordinary amount of business that has been done t in affixing Treloar parts .to plants of other makes now on tho market, it is tho boast of the vendors that they will be instrumental in entirely revolutionising machine-milking, in a few years, as their milker becomes more widely known. A very strong featuro of the Treloar is the teat-cup, which has been designed so .as to givo an action when in use similar to that employed by hand-pressure. Instead of tho milk being drawn by suction from a smooth, round cup, which creates a continuous flow, and an undue strain upon the delicate tissues of tho milk vein, the Treloar special cup "draws" away tho fluid in a natural way,' thereby removing, ono of the greatest drawbacks that have confronted the users of machines in the past. Tho teat-cup supplied with the machine under ncttice, the rubber inflation is eo arranged that it presents three flat sides, and completely envelopes the teat. Tho action is brought about by tho presence of vertical and horizontal ribs of rubber on the surface coming into contact with the metal covering, having tho effect, when in operation, of gripping and releasing the teat just in ithe same way as the hand operator does. Natural milking is thereby imitated with this inflation, as it has never been dono before. It gives rapid and perfect work, strippings aro reduced to a vanishing point, and, what is still more important, no injury is dono ito tho cows. With tho Treloar "release" the wOTk performed is as good as the "squeeze/' quick and clean, and all. that can bo • desired, because it is obtained in a scientific manner. Tho Treloar teat-cup case has also been specially constructed, and has merits peouliar to itself. Tho firm also supplies complete outftts for dairies, both largo, and 6mall, comprising patent Treloar releaser, engine, buckets, etc. Those who may bo prevented from visiting tho show aro invited to obtain further particulars of these machines from tho makers.
