Messrs. • Abraham and Williams, Ltd.. report havine held a successful sale of choice dairy* stock,' on. account of Jtr. J. D. Brown, of Ihaltara, Levin. The herd of 70 cows consisted for the most part of grade Jerseys, and beinc younK—early calverswere cauerly'sought aXtor. Prices ranied from £6 to £15 IDs.. £14 55.. and as Inch as £15 10s. The cows averaged the good price of £10 Is., and including the sprinKins heifers, the whole' herd returned an average prico of £11 2s. 6d. For the 20 grade Jersey heifors, in calf to P.avensivoods Model, competition was very KOCH, ■and thoy «ventually fell to the bid of Dr. Knteht's manager at £15 a head. 1' or the 38 weaner heifers, an offer of 6 guineas was tho boit prico obtainable, but ilr.
