BIRDLING PLEADED GUILTT. (By Telegraph.—Preso A«soointlon.) Napier, June 16. At tho Supreme Court to-dav Ernest Poland Birdfing was charged with obtaining credit for £8 by falsely representing himself as a detective ("Detective Rainey,' of ChristchuTch). He pleaded guilty, and was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon.
