Light on Maro Tiri (Chickens).—With reference to Notice to Mariners No. 45 issued by tho Marine Department on April 14 last, in regard to the unmatched acetone acetylene light exhibited from tho eastern extreme of the outer Maro Tiri Islands (Chickens), notice is given that the exact height of tho focal plane above mean sealevel has now been obtained by levelling, and is found to be 480ft-., which is 80ft. higher than stated in the notice referred to.
