RAND MINING SCANDAL.

SERIOUS NEGLECT ALLEGED. Br Telearash—Press Association—Oonyrlght Johannesburg, June 13. The Government Director of Native Labour, reporting on the high mortality at the Rand mines, states that tho medical service is shockingly inadequate. He states that the dootors refuse to pay night visits, however serious the cose. The doctors attend at the mine hospitals for an hour daily, and the natives are examined at tho rata of one per minute. Tho Director rccommends the Government to take action.
