Ho quoted from the New South _ Walea Text Hook, and from testimony in support of it, to show that the teachers in New Zealand might take up (ho book and toaeli from it literature, morality, and history. They would not bo expected to teach doctrines. The ministers would not ollow them to do that, because they would go into tho schools with • the Biblo and do that themselves. Ho challenged tho Olngo Educational Institute, which passed a resolution last week iu opposition to tho programme of tho League, to select two of its members and send them to Australia to investigate the position, and if they would abide by tho result, tho League would pay their expenses. Tho meeting was most cuthusiastio and Dean Fitcliett was heartily thanked for his address.
