MACQUARRIE ISLANDS WIRELESS. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright (Rec. Juno 14, 0.15 a.m.) Sydney, Juno 13. Professor David is endeavouring to prevail on. the Commonwealth Government to retain tho wirokss installation erected at tho Macquarrio Islands by Dr. Mawson's Antarctic Expedition. Ho points out that parallel conditions exist in tho Falkland Islands,, oil South America, as at the MacquaTries. Tho monthly cabled meteorological reports now received from tho Argentine include a report from tho Falkland Islands. If tho regular reports from the Macquarries wero receivied in conjunction with tho Falkland Mands reports, the Commonwealth Weather Bureau would be much assisted. The request will probably bo granted.
