Tho Sydney Wharf Labourers' Union has adopted tho constitution of the new Transport Workers' Federation, which is intended to embrace tho Merchant Service Guild of Australasia, the Australasian Institute of Marine Engineers, tho Federated Seamen's Union of Australasia, and tho Federated Carters and Drivers and the Federated Watorsido Workers' Unions. . Tho Seamen's Union has already adopted tho constitution, and the Engineers favour federation, but not in its present form. Tho Carters' and Drivers' Union has yet to deal with tho question.
