THE RIDD MILKING MACHINE.

Promincnt amongst the milking machines displayed at the Palmerston Show is tho Ifidcl Milker, made'by the Eidd Milking Machine Co., Ltd., New Plymouth. This machine is made in NewZealand, and is the invention of Mr. A. Eidd, who has been a practical dairy farmer for a lifetime. Mr. Eidd, after using milking machines for many years, saw clearly that to be successful, a machine must have strength, simplicity, and (ho ability to milk fast and clean without injury to the cows. The pulsating device of the Eidd is strong and simple, and one pulsator up on the pipo line, and out of any danger, works all machines in tho shed.

The crowning triumph of the Eidd Machine is the teat cup, which. together with the pulsator, and all other vital parts, is fully protected by patents. Tho teat, cup is a wet milker, and while being milked the teat is in a bath of milk as when being sucked by a calf. This prevents injury to the teal, and by its natural action on the sensitive nerves'creates in the cow the desiro to produce the milk, thus conducing to a greater mill; yield. The Eidd teat cup is unique in 'hat at each squeeze it completely empties tho teat of milk, and does not eject some milk and force the remainder back into the udder. The fact that Eidd cups are greatly in request by users of other makes nf machines shows (hat all practical users of milking machines realise the value of Mr. Eidd's invention, and its great importance to all milkers of cows. Tho machines are shown for milking into buckets, so that each cow's milk is kept separate, and may be weighed and tested. They r.re also shown fitted with a. conveyer gear to deliver tho milk direct from the cow to milk can or separator.
