A REVOLUTION IN TRANSPORT

That is tlio position, of liie streets of London to-day, and the greatest tribute to the marvellous enterprise and strides wliich have been made in England, was furnished at tlio last Olympia Pleasure Vohicle Show, when many of tlio foreign automobile firms took the occasion of their visit last November to make a round of inspection at the various public garages, to procure data concerning the systems of publio vehicle which they oould adapt to their own cities.

The great Commercial Motor Vehicle Exhibition, which has been organised by the Society of Motor Manufacturer and Traders, Ltd., and which is t» be held at Olvmpia, Kensington, from July 18 .to July 26, promises to meet with an overwhelming success, and tho exhibition is stated not onft to liavo only aroused enthusiasm at Home, but to have excited general interest and favourable 1 comment abroad.

The great aim of tho organisers has boen to luako tho exhibition of (ill entirely international character, fully recognising tho fact that the question of transport is ono of supreme importance in tho colonies, many of the exhibitors having set themselves out to product) specially constructed motor vehicles for rough colonial work.

The exhibits will include vehicles for the. farmer; for the man up countryj. for heavy transport work:,/for light delivery dispatch work. Vehicles for municipal purposes, such as watcrcarts, firecnginos, ambulances, vehicles for mail service; motors which will run on paraffin, ben7X)le alcohol, a* well as petrol'. Business men about to visit England would do well to make arrangements for their visits to syncronise with llio openins of the July Exhibition, for this great international show is expected,, to prove ono of tho most remarkable ,ovidcnce3_ of the growth uf automobilism as applied to commerce und its adaptability to every kind of transport work/particularly in those parts of tho globe generally pronounced inaccessible.,.'
