Where a lady who sued an English illustrated paper for alleged libel sought to introduce the evidence of her boy, aged eight, the Judge, after eliciting that the boy had not been taught to pray, nor anything about God and his duty, declined to allow His evidence. Among the passages complained of in the alleged libellous article was a description of the group with which tho lady is associated as a "nut-eating colony." Tho jury held that the plaintiff had no case.
