It is also an indictmcnt of want of consideration' for his neighbours, ® lessly-kept weedy farm is not only profitless, but a source of injury to the ad jacent properties. Maize when preserved as silage can be stored much moro cheaply in less space .than any'other roughage. In addition, stored in this way it will keep indefinitely, and is always ready to feed. Ten toils of silage .occupies 110 more space than one ton of hay. One ton of hay is worth about two and a half tons of silago. In their review of tho frozen meat trade of 1912 Messrs. Wcddol and Co. remark that the averages ton quotations for most classes of imported meat constitute a record. / ~ , , Never allow tho cows to bo excited by hard driving, abuse, loud talking, or unnecessary disturbance; do not expose them to cold or storms. Do not change the feed suddenly.
