At the annual meeting, at Manchester, 'of tho Northern Rugby Union, the dolegates from Huddersfield and Wigan, two of tho leading clubs, made a strong attack, but failed to carry the rescission of the Committee's standing order respecting colonial players. As the result of the-discussion, a two years' residential qualification prior to registration is now: law nnder the Northern Union. .
