A QUARRY TRAGEDY. London, June 10. Two Jwys, aged eleven and eight years respectively, were discovered bound together, and floating in a quarry' in West Lothian. Higgins, their lather, who is a labourer, lias been arrested. BAR-ROOII TRAGEDY. Sydney, June 10. As the result of an argument in a hotel bar a man drew a'revolver'and fired three shots at another, who was struck ill the neck, but is recovering. MADMAN RUNS AMOK. Melbourne, Juno 10. An inmato of tho Yarrabend Asylum, using nil axe-handle, attacked and killed another inmate, and badly mauled otlicib before he was overpowered. MURDER OF A CHILD. Perth, Juno 10. William Duck lias been committed for trial or. a charge of murdering a four-year-old child. Duck, who is mentally deficient, led tho child into a garden, and smashed its skull with a big bone. HEAVY GALE IN SYDNEY.' Sydney, Juno 10. A stiff pouth-cast gale, with licavy rain and hail, lias developed high seas. Thero have been snowstorms in the highlands. ANTI-COMBINE BILL. Melbourne, Juno HO.
