SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications are for cold and damp weather generally; heavy showers probable over tlio North. Island and East Coast districts, with snow on, higher levels, south to south-easterly winds, strong to gale, and the barometer unsteady in the north for a short time, but rising everywhere to-morrow. The winds have been variable, _ but increasing southcrlles have ruled, with heavy gales on the East Coast of the South Island. Tho weather has been stormy in. the south and cold and changeable generally. His previous season in Wellington was in February, 1912.
