MANAWATU HUNT.
The Manawatu Hunt Club held an enjoyable hunt at tho Lower Hutt yesterday afternoon. The meet took place at the Bellevue Gardens, and in spite of the bad weather a good number of hunters made the journey. The visitors weroi— Mr Bruce MT3wan (Bonny Lass), who ■was master of the hunt; Miss Angus (Major Webb), and Messrs. P. Henry (Drummer Boy), J. Connor (Ennerdale), and H. E. Lancaster (Princess). The following were some of the followers:-Mcssrs. W. P Campbell (La«far Paul) R Manning (Scamp), C. Blundell (Pat), J. Macdonald fLadv Deal), P. B. Walker (Oakley), J. Burrows (Ma Z a), J. , Stevens (Staggery Charlie), E. Anstis (cob), M. 0. Benge (Sir Mauser), S. Dunn (Dandy Dick), and Mrs. M'Ewan (Loss). Mr. H. Peters laid tho dra». After the hunt tho members and visitors were entertained at tea at the Bellevue Gardens by Mr. 0. Blundell. Toasts wore drunk to the visitors, including the master, Mr. M Lwan, tlio new huntsman, and Miss Angus. The gathering dispersed with three cheers tor tho host. • .
