Tho battle-cruiser Now Zealand, which is due back in Wellington to-morrow, has enjoyed anything but hospitable weather •during her stay in theso waters. Ill* a tho vessel showed her great grey in Lambton Harbour, the weather was dull and threatening, and lmlf a gale was blowing. At Napier the prawtmimo had to be curtailed, and no landing at all ooiild lie effected at Gisborno. H hilst the vessel was at Auckland .some of tho worst weather experienced thoro this year prevailed. At Lyttolton tho warship was able to lie snug ill the pool beneath the hills, and weather, fair or foul, was not nllowed to interfere with the arrangements. Continuing down the coast, no landings coutd bo made at either liiuarn or Oamaru, and'there was only one day at Port Chalmers when some of the publio wore oblo to visit the vessel. At 1 tho , Bluff 1100 school children visited the ship, and tho hose of tho Tutaneltai had to be turned on tho crowd to keep it from rushing tho gangway. At Greymouth and Wcstport. the people bad to bo satisfied with a distant .view of tlio cruiser. The warship arrived at Nelson on Sunday, and was visited by somo thousands of people. Whilst tlio weather has been on ita worst liehaviour throuehont the coastal cruise, the woloomo to tlio ship and her officers has been most hearty. _____
