— : * —» ADDITIONS TO THE CATHEDRAL. By Telegraph—Press Association—OoßTrieiit Sydney, June 9. The ceremony of laying and blessing the foundation, stones of tho additions to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cathedral yesterday was perforaed by his Grace Archbishop Kelly. Representatives from all parts of New South. Wales were present. It is estimated the congregation totalled fifteen thousand. When finished £300,000 will havo been spent on tho building, exclusive of <£50,000 on the original building. The attendance at tho ceremony includod Sir Gorald Strickland (State Governor) and visiting prelates.
