Six of the firemen who were engaged in fighting cho flames became intoxicated, and from no other cause than through their inhaling the funics emitted from tlio burning shavings of some caso wood that was saturated with alcohol. The symptoms tlicy manifested wore almost precisely similar to those of a man who had been drinking heavily. They lost control of their let's, and suffered severelv SJ tlicir heads.
