RUGBY GAMES
WHERE TO GO TO-DAY. Says tlio Rugby Union weekly official note':—'When Melrose played Athletic m the first round there was much controversy as to which was the better tcQin, despite the fact tlmt Athletic were returned the winners by a small margin, hence their meeting again this afternoon will bo watched with more than, usual interest as it is known that Melrose are making a special olFort to prove their superiority. With Athletic playing without Wilson and Paton it appears likely that the leaders will have to show their very best form to win. Petone play Wellington on No. 2 errotind, while other senior games are between Poneke and Wellington at Petone, and between Oriental and Victoria College, at Johnsonville.
