WADESTOWN AFFAIRS.
' THE MUNICIPAL ASSOCIATION. In the course of its fifth annual report, the Wadestown Municipal Association's committee states that tho year's work has been a quiet one. Tho progress of tho improvements already commenced and contemplated whesn the last annual report was presented has been steady, if not as fast as could be desired. Tho water service is now available, and a good many residences linvo been already connected; Gas, too, is now available, and the sewerage service pipes have been laid, and tho completion of tho scheme is now well within sight. After detailing some of the more important subjects dealt with during the /year, the report concludes: —"Many complaints were made with regard to tho bad' stato of tho roads of the district, and your executive is pleased to bs able to announce that at last tho roads are being metalled. So soon tho drainage connections are made the association should seo to the proper forming, metalling, and channelling of footpaths and roads throughout tho district. This matter will require tho attention of tho association in, the future. "The City Council promised its assistance in getting a fireplace in Wiltons Bush for tho 'use of picnickers. This hos not yet been provided, and tho moomiiig eomlnitteo should immediately take tne matter up to see that it is provided before the return of summer. "Your executive desiro3 to recommend tho incoming' committee to give immediate attention to the matter of getting the Wadestown trams run through to the General Post Office, and also to indue;© tho City Council to give tlio "Wit.icstown lino sorrio credit or concession on the running between. Park Street- and tbe city terminals."
