$ "L'entento CoTdiale" was th 9 title of the lccturo given by Monsieur L. Duflou at the weekly meeting of the French Club, presided over by Captain Barclay. There was a large attendance. The lecturer sketched the cause and effect, political and social, of tho Entente Cordiale between Groat Britain and France, and touched also upon the Triple Alliance. Ho depicted vividly the enthusiasm created in London on tho occasion of the opening of tho celebrated Franco-British Exposition in 1908. He referred also to tho frequent subsequent interchange of cordialities between tho two nations. In the discussion which followed, some excellent speeches wero made. During the evening Mademoiselle Decleene contributed musical items. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Monsieur Duflou.
