ASSOCIATION.

PLAYERS GET EXPENSES. A meeting of the Wellington FootbalJ Association was held last evening, Sir. J. 13. l'aton presiding. Tho Boys' Sub-committee made the following recommendations:—(a) That a representative team from tho Schools' Leaguo play a Fifth B Division representative team as a "curtain-raiser" to the first Brown Shield match, which is to be held on June 21; (b) that the folloKiig selectors be appointed Fourth Division, Mr. 13. L. Salmon; Fifth A Division, llr. J. Howitt; Fifth B Division, Mr. B. Bell; Sixth A Division, Messrs. F. Bowles, C. K. Dick, and W. Mears; schools' representatives, Mr. C. IC. Dick. It was decided not to play a "curtainraiser" if tho Brown Shield match took place oil tho Basin Reserve. The secretary announced that the' gate for the recent Canterbury-Wellington match amounted to £i 2 -Is., and also that 1300 people had paid for admission. As a result of this, after all oxpenscs hart been paid, AVellington and Canterbury Associations would benefit to the extent of about JCI4 each. This sum would about cover Canterbury's expenses. Mr. T. Thomson suggested that a boys representative team should bo sent to Auckland this season. It was decided to refer tho matter to tho Boys' Sub-com-mittee. r ( n

It was announced that Mr. A. Barnett, of Brooklyn, and another had offered to donato caps to last year's Brown Shield representatives—Accepted with thanks, SCHOOL FIXTURES. The following are tho schools fixtures for Saturday:— , Marist A v.-To Aro, at No. 1 Wakefield Park, 10 a.m.; Mr. H. Liversage Technical School v. South Wellington, at No. 2 Wakefield Park, 10 a.m.; Mr. Ssland'W v. Clyde Quay, at No. 2 Wakefield Park, 11 a.m.; Mr. G. Uilby. Marist B v. Roseneath, at Kilbirnio Reserve, 11 a.m.; Mr. H. Hanratty. , Wadestown v. Kilbirnio, at lulblTOlO Reserve, 10 a-.n0.» Mr. H. Hanratty. Thorndon A v. Karon, at Anderson Park, 10 a.m.; Mr. C. K. Dick. Thorndon B v.
