SHEARERS' DISPUTE.
. CONFERENCE OPENS TO-MORROW. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Masterton,.June 2. Mr. Rod M'Crao leaves for Wellington to-morrow, to act as delegate for the Wellington Shearers' Federation in the conference with tho Sheep-owners' Federation 011 Wednesday on tho subject of the demands for shearing. In conversation with, a reporter, Mr. M'Crae said he did not anticipate that there would be any difficulty in arriving at a settlement of the dispute in less than three hours. RIDDIFORD'S LONGBI'RN ESTATE. On Wednesday the well-known firm of Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., I'alyicrston North, will sell by public auction tho famed Longburn Estate of the late Mr. E. J. Riddiford. The estate comprises about.l6so acres, of what is described as excellent dairying nnd fattening land, subdivided into 11 farms, ranging in area from 13 to 121 acres. This property, it is claimed, is the pick of the Kairanga district, its position being an ideal one.
