KNOCKED OCT IN FOUR ROUNDS. Br TtlerriDli—Press Araooiatlon—Copyright London, June 1. : At Ghent Carpentier knocked out "Bombardier" Wells in the fourth round. Wells had the best of the first two rounds, but did not follow up his advantage when Carpentier rose dazed from tho first round from a half-arm punch. He missed a similar chanco in the second round. Wells weakened in tho third round; his punches lost their sting. Carpentier in the fourth hit Wells in the mouth, and followed this up with right and left punches to tho stomach. He then knocked Wells out. Fivo thousand persons attended the fight.
