The event was won by X. D. Anderson, who. with a handicap of 8, wns three up on "liogoy." The best cards in wero as follow: —N. D. Anderson (8), 3 up: C. E. Richardson (18), al snuaro; AY. E. A. The annunl match for the Tuson Otip between Wellington and Canterbury was played at Christcliurch on Saturday, tho result being that tho cup was won by Canterbury. In the four-ball matches, plaved in'the forenoon, two of the four Raines were won by Wellington and two by the Christelmrcli men.
