Competition was not very koon, and the demand for sheep has slackened off somewhat from last sale. Ltd., report on Messrs. llenall Bros.' clearing sale, held at Kaiparoro, as follows:—A good attendance of buyers was present, and for all choice cows competition was good, these sellinc up to £10 10s. Medium sort 9 wero not inquired for, and several good cowb in backward condition were -old very reasonably, prices for thceo ranging from £4 to £7'lss. Sheep: Mixed-sex hoggets, 9s. 2d. to 9s. 3d. Cattle: Wconer heifers, £1 55.; weaner steers, £i 45.: eighteen-months steers, £3 4s. 6d.; two-year dairy heifers, £3 17s. 6d. to £4 lte.

There was a good demand, and practically every line was sold. A very nice lino of 100 two-year steers, on account of Mr. Oli&rlcs Carr. realised £4. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd.,'report as follows on their Pahiatua sale:— Wo offoved on extra, heavy yarding of sheen and a good yarding of cattle. There was a large attendance, Maria',vatu and Wairarapa buyers being strongly in evidence, taking the bulk of the sheep. Thero was a decidedly improved lone for sheen, mcetluE keen competition, practically the whole yarding being sold under the hammer at improved values. Cuttlo sold at iato rates. Messrs. James Macintosh and Co. report lmving hold their usual weekly pale in thoir Waipoua (Mastcrton) Saleyards on Wednesday, when they offered a very cood ya/rdiiic of cattle and a fair yarding of sheep. Thero waj a very good attendance of buyers, and can report a good clearance at full market rates. All the cattle were fold with the exception of three pens, and only two pens of eheep went oat unsold. The prices realised wero as follow:—Two-tooth wethers (small), 10s. 4d to 12p. 6(1.: shorn lambs. ss. 10d.; wooliy lainlji; ss. Ud.; forward woolly lambe, 10s.
