A REAL ROMANCE.
9 There' recently left Liverpool for New York to appear on tho music-hall stage Mr. Kenneth Douglas Lorno Madeline, and amongst thoso who assembled to wish him "good-bye" was tho Duke of Argyll, his god-father. There is nothing particularly strange about this until one comes to tho motive—there tho real romance begins. This young man inherited from his . father the family estates of Loclibuie, which havo descended from father to son for a triflo over SOO years. Now, Loclibuie. ,is an ideal estate, but when the new ■ master passed into possession lie found it so heavily encumbered that it yielded little or nothing. Ho could not livo on tho empty title, so, having talent in tine light comedy line, ho thought it .no disgrace to tako engagements on_the music-hall stage in the English provinces. Then a London manager offered him ,£BO a week if he would appear as tho Maclaine of Loclibuie. but ho could not bring himself to that. Later on, however, when a substantial offer came from America ho reasoned that there would be no disgrace in appearing under his right title, if by bo doing he could earn enough to free the encumbered estate. That is what he has now set out 1 to do.
In a twinkling, a steaming hot cup of camp coffee is ready. Just pour on boiling water and you have it—the healthiest, nicest, best drink in tho world.— Advt. Messrs.
