STRANGE AFFAIR.
WOMAN AND CHAUFFEUR SHOT,

A young woman named Pearl Leichroft was shot in the mouth, sustaining serious injuries, while entering a motoroar outsido an oyster saloon. Tho chauffeur, Patrick Burke, was shot in the shoulder. The assailant is believed to be a Japanese.
